Frequently asked questions

How long will brick walls last?

Brick typically lasts 100 years or more, but it will need to be repointed every 25 to 30 years.

Can you match the brick used on my building?

Yes. The best way to match brick is to track down its original manufacturer. Keep in mind that the manufacturer may have changed their production processes, which can make bricks look very different, or discontinued a particular line. It’s also possible to find another brick that’s identical in size and texture and stain it the right colour if it doesn’t match.

What is the best way to deal with bulging brick walls?

In some cases, injecting grout behind the wall or temporary solutions like metal plates and screws can help enhance support and increase the wall’s strength. However, if the swelling is large, it may be necessary to redo the brick or stone façade. This will also prevent the issue from persisting and reoccurring.
