Frequently asked questions

What is a hybrid window?

A hybrid window combines the exterior aesthetic benefits of a material such as wood or aluminum with the interior insulating benefits of PVC. It’s also more economical than a window made entirely of aluminum or wood.

How long do windows last?

The typical lifespan of PVC or aluminum windows is between 20 and 25 years, and between 10 and 15 years for wood windows. Regular maintenance of the windows and frames is recommended to prolong their life.

What type of front door is the most economical?

A PVC door delivers good value for money. In addition to requiring little maintenance, PVC is completely waterproof and is not susceptible to mold. It also offers good insulation, which is essential in Quebec. However, it’s flammable and tends to warp more easily than a steel model.
