The Canadian dream for many is homeownership, the white picket fence, and the stability that comes with residential security. But this dream isn’t always possible for many families today.
RenoAssistance is committed to giving back to the communities we operate in, which is why we are proud to announce we’ve partnered with Habitat for Humanity, a charity that focuses on making homeownership a reality for many Canadians.
The announcement of this partnership comes with an initial $5,000 donation. This donation is only the beginning of what we believe will become an invaluable long-term partnership.
“2020 has been a challenging year for many Canadians. We are proud to partner with Habitat for Humanity and their dream of making affordable housing more accessible to those who need it most,” said Eric Perigny, President and Founder of RenoAssistance.
As part of our long-term commitment to building more affordable housing, we plan to leverage the success of our company, the generosity of our customers, and encourage our large network of contractors to take part in what we believe is not only an important initiative but an essential one too.
Happiness Starts at Home: That’s What We Believe In
Since the very beginning, we have always believed that home is the gateway to happiness — a place where families can live and grow. It also directly aligns with our core values: passion, respect, integrity, client satisfaction, and excellence.
These values align perfectly with Habitat for Humanity’s mission to “help families build strength, stability, and independence through affordable homeownership.”
Habitat for Humanity has been a household name in Canada since being founded in 1985. The charity has built more than 3,800 homes to date, with a combined 300 homes being built annually in every province and territory.
Habitat for Humanity is one of the most recognizable charities in the world, scoring an impressive 80% positive social impact score among 10 leading Canadian charities, including Sick Kids, Heart & Stroke, YMCA, United Way, and Canadian Cancer Society.

Renovation Expertise and Affordable Housing: The Beginning of the Perfect Partnership
RenoAssistance and Habitat for Humanity can make a difference in the affordable housing crisis, directly impacting the lives of families across the country.
Children living in homes built by the charity often perform better in school, get involved in extracurricular activities, participate in sports, music, and the arts, volunteer in their local communities, and report better mental and physical wellbeing.
Our initial cash donation is just the beginning. We intend to assemble a team of dedicated volunteers consisting of our own employees, local communities, and talented contractors.
How RenoAssistance Is Helping Habitat for Humanity
RenoAssistance is fully committed to this cause and will continue to make additional donations in the future, as well as create an employee payroll donation program and encourage our staff to take part in volunteer building days.

We are excited to have the opportunity to give back to the local communities that make Canada so special in the first place.
There is no better use of our resources — our renovation expertise, the network of Verified Contractors we have built, and our connection to local communities across Ontario and Quebec — than this partnership.
