Typically the bathroom is the most used room in your home. It’s where family and friends go for some privacy, to get ready for the day, and to clean up. The Comtois family noticed that theirs needed some love, so they opted for a practical bathroom renovation. The goal was to redesign the layout to improve efficiency and traffic flow, as well as install a tub shower to save space. With an aesthetic in mind, they called RenoAssistance to get the job done. They couldn’t wait to see the completed project!
The original bathroom had a corner podium bath that took up too much space. To help, the contractors replaced it with a tub shower and added a wall, creating a cozy little alcove. This practical bathroom renovation feature also gives the illusion of more space. Add in some striking white marble tiles on the shower walls and floors and guests will marvel at this luxurious bathroom.
If the white tiles don’t brighten the room enough, then the five new pot lights will surely do the trick! To accent this classic and luminous style, custom stainless-steel hardware and a sliding glass door were installed in the shower, as well as a nifty towel holder. The rest of the walls were covered with a dark grey anti-mould paint, which is perfect for high-moisture areas like bathrooms.
Lastly, the most important piece of this practical transformation is the custom 72-inch vanity with double sinks. Storage was also one of the client’s main concerns – it’s safe to say they now have plenty! With several drawers and even extra cabinets to the left for linens, the client can finally organize their bathroom as they please.
The black stone countertops add a smidge of contrast and pair nicely with the pearly white cabinetry. The final touch was to install a wide rectangular mirror above the vanity to have a crystal-clear view when getting ready!
