An accomplished renovation!

The Lamontagne family’s kitchen was in dire need of a new look. Most of the counter space was claimed by appliances, and what was left wasn’t practical for cooking regularly. Something had to give, so they hired our Verified Contractors for a kitchen renovation to bring some life back into the room.

The owners went with a classic yet modern aesthetic. They reorganized the layout to make it more open, and then added grey wooden accents and dark countertops. It was the perfect combination to achieve the desired result!

Before renovation

Before photos of renovations

Before the kitchen renovation, the cabinetry didn’t reach the ceiling: all of that potential space was wasted, left alone to collect dust. The existing island was also quite narrow and didn’t provide much in the way of storage space. And then there’s the layout… it was awkward and made meal prep needlessly complicated.

In addition, the dark wood cabinets and burnt orange paint made the space feel cramped and dull. The room needed to be reorganized to make it more ergonomic and to the family’s liking. Our Verified Contractors drafted a plan that would make their dream kitchen a reality!

A mixture of tones and textures

The fabulous mix of neutral tones is what makes this new kitchen inviting. The black quartz countertops blend perfectly with the white and gray cabinets to create a modern and stylish look! Also, the stools subtly placed near the island are perfect for a small breakfast nook. Finally, the incorporation of a 6-square-foot centre island, along with large sliding cabinets, added a significant amount of storage space. Now all the appliances, pots, and pans have a place of their own and are out of sight!

The final touches

Ombre ceramic tiles replaced the old wood floors to match the rest of the kitchen’s aesthetic. These tiles are a great option for high traffic, wet areas because they’re simple to clean. Plus, they’re extremely durable when installed and sealed properly! Light wood shelves with charming decorations brighten up the room, while the white rectangular backsplash provides a flawless finishing touch. The Lamontagne family is now excited to entertain their loved ones in their new kitchen!
