A new home for the holidays

After an unfortunate incident destroyed their home, the Larin family needed a team of Verified Contractors and interior designers to help them rebuild.

The team built a brand-new contemporary home with a large open concept kitchen, giving the family enough space for all to enjoy. It also features three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a family room in the basement.

The Verified Contractors started construction in September and finished right before the holidays, giving this family a chance to celebrate the festivities in their new dream house!

An open concept kitchen for the win

As we all know, the kitchen is the heart of the home and this one is no different! First we have the beautiful white shaker cabinets with their black chrome handles to brighten up the room. The neutral backsplash matches the stone countertops, and the muted colour palette draws the eye to the bright kitchen island. With its dark accents, modern induction stovetop, sleek suspended ventilation system, and built-in oven, it’s a true showstopper!

Achromatic living room

A living room is where you go to relax at the beginning and end of your day, so why not make it as calm and comfortable as possible? The rest of the home flows seamlessly into this space – they share the same aesthetic. The neutral-toned décor highlights the cozy sofas, which are ready to be enjoyed on a lazy Sunday. Finally, the beautiful wooden table balances it all out with some natural texture. Transitioning from the kitchen to the living room has never felt more effortless!

Family room for all

The homeowners also wanted a family room in the basement for extra livable space. When you first step into this room, you’re immediately drawn to the large, comfortable L-shaped couch: it makes you want to settle in and watch a movie with friends. The stone accent wall and modern fireplace give the room some personality, while the floor-to-ceiling bookshelves provide extra storage space. The Larin family is sure to make cherished memories in this basement, whether that be during family game night or by celebrating the holidays around a warm fireplace.

A personalized bedroom

One of the advantages of a brand new build is that everything is customizable! So, that bedroom you’ve always dreamed of can become a reality. The built-in desk, bookshelves, and drawers for extra storage really make this room stand out. But the cherry on top has to be the charming and romantic reading nook by the window, inviting you to sit down and relax with a good book and a hot cup of tea.
