Expanding the space to suit their needs

Many homeowners want their bathrooms to serve as both a space to get ready and a relaxing retreat, and this family in Dorval was no different. Their home’s original bathroom was small and dysfunctional – there was barely enough space for a toothbrush, let alone daily necessities! They wanted a big and beautiful bathroom, so they hired RenoAssistance to design and build it.

Our Verified Contractors demolished the old bathroom, added new floor tiles, and painted the walls. They installed a new Italian shower and a freestanding tub and built a closet for the washer/dryer. The end result? A gorgeous contemporary bathroom!

Before renovation

Outdated bathroom with cracked tiles, stained white walls, and a tiny sink

Small, dark, and full of gloom, the original bathroom in this single-family home didn’t leave the homeowners with many remodelling options. The cracked walls and filthy baby blue tiles were nothing to boast about either.

Luckily, the family had an empty room next door that they could donate to the cause! The extra space provided them a larger canvas to work with and allowed them to start building the bathroom of their dreams.

Pop of colour

Tucked to the right, a teal accent wall welcomes you as you enter the bathroom, adding a touch of whimsy to this otherwise neutral-toned space. The white vanity, cabinet, and décor add some lively contrast, drawing the eye to this section of the room.

The family really wanted a space that could accommodate their morning routine. A classic Hollywood mirror and a small make-up mirror now adorn the wall. A floating cabinet provides all the storage space they need, and a steamer camouflages into the wall, allowing the bathroom to double as a laundry room.

Perfect place to relax

Sandwiched between the freestanding tub and the teal accent wall lies a gorgeous wooden dresser. Not only does it serve as a grounding accent piece, but it also stores all bathroom essentials, keeping them within reach. While other wood accents, such as the bath tray and shelf, add warmth to the space, nothing beats the incredible natural light shining in through the new window!
