Bright room, classic style

This Montreal kitchen underwent a huge transformation! Its previous dull and outdated look didn’t fit the condo’s open concept layout. The homeowners recognized the room’s potential and turned it into a space that adds an incredible level of sophistication to the property.

Before renovation

This condo’s kitchen looked like a relic of a bygone era. The original colours had long since faded, and the room looked tired and worn out. To breathe life back into this space, the owners decided to remove all existing elements and introduce modern design. For this challenge, they hired one of the Verified Contractors recommended by an Advisor at RenoAssistance.
Rickety slatted wood cabinets, old-fashioned ceramic tiles, stained laminate countertops, and wonky taps exited stage left to make way for new materials. The contractor’s mission: redo the space and make it bright, chic, and practical. You can say that it was mission accomplished!

Finally, some storage space!

Storage is no longer a problem thanks to cabinets that go all the way to the ceiling. The sink module was also upgraded to add extra storage space. Unlike in the old kitchen, there’s now a place for everything, from appliances to food to household products.

Various amenities were integrated to make everyone’s life a lot easier, including soft close mechanisms for drawers and cabinet doors, which ensure more peace and quiet in the house. A sliding basket system for the pantry also makes it easier to access and locate food items in no time flat.

Understated floor covering

The homeowners chose ceramic floor tiles that were slightly textured with beige flecks. They complement the wooden cabinets nicely and create an attractive contrast, preventing the monotony that often comes with a traditional white floor. Their matte finish also balances the gloss in the space. The days of loud orange tiles in this kitchen are over!
